I won the Biggest Loser Contest at work!! I won all THREE catergories; most pounds lost, most inches lost & most fat% decrease!!! I am very proud of myself!!
I'm not stopping here. I have a "mini" goal set for September 1st; and a MAJOR goal set for January 1, 2010. My workout partner, Denese & I signed up for 10 more sessions with a personal trainer today; that will start Saturday.
On the lighter side, I get to see George Strait on June 6th at the new Cowboy Stadium. I can't hardly wait!!

Home Stretch!
The end of the contest is almost here!! The COM Biggest Loser Contest final weigh in will be on Tuesday, May 26th. I've been working extra hard (Ithink) this month. Had to, after the way I played in April. I talked to the girl that appears to have lost quite a bit of weight and she confirmed, she is neck & neck with me on the total pounds lost. There are 3 categories, so hopefully I will win at least 1 of them ($144). But, even if I don't win part of the contest, I am a winner. A winner at life, as my friend's daughter says to her!! I have lost 45 lbs since Christmas 2008 (35 since the contest started)!! So yes, I consider myself a WINNER!! I would like to lose an additional 45 lbs. before Christmas 2009. Wouldn't that make an awesome before & after picture??

2 Months!
I can't believe it's been almost 2 months since my last post! I've been doing the elliptical for 1 hour; working out with the personal trainer; vacationing in Biloxi (& cheating); had a birthday (51 now); & lost a total of 25 lbs since the biggest loser contest started at work. I won 2 categories at the midway point of the contest; most lbs. lost & most inches lost. Yea me! $50 prize (2 @$25 ea).
It's so hard to stay motivated. Thank God for my workout partner, Denese! I wanted to stay home today, but I called her and she wanted to go to the gym, so I went. I guess it's like having an AA sponsor and just as important! I felt better after the workout. If you know the secret to staying motivated, please, please fill me in!!

Tired...
Well, today I started the demon at level 2 on both the incline and resistance. Made it 30 mins, before I changed both levels to 1. Did 10 mins, then changed the levels back to 2 for 10 mins, then did the final 10 mins at levels 1. I'm so tired. I think I will take tomorrow off. I've been allowing myself 1 day a week off from exercising and 1 day a week to eat lunch out with the girls from the office. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
PS: Big shout out to Amanda!!

Yea!!!

I did it!! One hour on the demon!!! The last week I've been "playing" w/the 45 mins, by adding two 10 min. sessions at crossramp (incline) at 2 and resistance at 2. So, today I decided I was ready to try the one hour with both settings at 1 and I did it!! I was exhausted and couldn't wait to get home.
So, I'm thinking that my next goal will be one hour at crossramp 2 and resistance at 2. I think it will take me longer to reach that one than it did the first goal. We'll see...
By the way, this is the demon!! The machines at our gym do not have the video screen.

45!
Last week I increased my time on the demon to 45 mins!! Saturday was week #5 with the trainer. He worked our abs again this week. I was so sore today. My co-worker that I share the trainer with & I have had the wellness center employee weigh us the last two weeks, so that we could compare the tapes. The wellness center has a body analyzer. It's encouraging to see the difference a week can make!! I lost weight and decreased my fat %; which are two of the categories in the "biggest loser" contest at work. One more month and we'll be at the halfway mark. At this point, it won't matter if I win, I'm pleased with my results and will be happy if someone else at work does well and beats me out. I will continue to work hard; who knows, may I'll win!!

Yes!
I did it!! 35 mins on the demon & a 5 min cool down. I'm very excited. I really think I'll surpass my goal. Once I reach the goal of 1 hour on level 1, I'll have to set a new one! Maybe 1 hour at level 2?? Won't that be something??
